Vaping Devices are not recyclable. Vaping Devices should be placed in the trash.
Pellet Fuel Bags – #4 Low Density Polyethylene or LDPE
We do not accept pellet fuel bags for recycling. Bags can be disposed of in the trash or used as trash bags for bagging other trash. You could try to contact the company that manufactured the bags and ask if they have any suggestions on how to recycle them.
VHS Cassette Tapes
VHS cassette tapes are NOT recyclable locally. Greendisk offers a mail-in option for recycling some types of obsolete technology – “technotrash”. This service does charge a fee. If the mail-in program is not an option and the tapes are not able to be donated, please dispose of your VHS cassette tapes in the trash.
Packing Peanuts
Packing peanuts are not recyclable and should be disposed of in your household trash. (Some packing peanuts may dissolve in water and can be put down the drain) UPS on Old Ferry Road in Brattleboro will accept small amounts of packing peanuts. Please call 800-742-5877 for more information. \
Styrofoam
Styrofoam is NOT recyclable and should not be placed in your recycling bin or recycling bins at the transfer station. Please dispose of styrofoam in your household trash.

Photographs are NOT recyclable. Please dispose of your photographs in your household trash.
Motor Oil Filters (Used)
Used motor oil filters not allowed in the trash! They are banned from Vermont landfills. We will take your used oil filters during normal business hours, you do not need to bring to the Household Hazardous Waste Depot.
