Access Stickers & Day Passes

Access stickers cost $60. Single-day passes are $15 and are valid for one business day only.

You can buy access stickers at the scale house from Monday to Saturday during regular business hours. These stickers provide access to the transfer station for low-cost disposal fees, free recycling, and free composting of food scraps.

An access sticker (or day pass) is not needed to drop off appliances, batteries, books, brush, leaves, fluorescent bulbs, cardboard, electronics, hazardous waste, paint, scrap metal, and textiles. However, please note that disposal fees may apply for some items. Go here to see the disposal fees. Also, an access sticker is not required for purchasing compost, topsoil bags, or bulk compost and topsoil.

You can buy day passes for $15, and they are valid from the time of purchase until closing on the same day for multiple trips. A day pass would be required for recycling, compost drop-off, household trash, and construction waste if the resident does not have a valid access sticker. Out-of-district contractors operating in district towns can obtain a day pass to discard trash and construction debris.

Access stickers are available for $60 and are valid for one year, from July 1st to June 30th of the following year. Stickers for the upcoming year go on sale starting May 1st. Stickers purchased in May will remain valid until June 30th of the following year. Any stickers bought between May 1st and December 31st will be sold at the full price of $60.

From January 1 to June 30, we now sell a pro-rated access sticker for $35. You can’t buy this until January 1, 2025, and you won’t be able to get it after May 1. 

We accept cash, checks, or credit/debit cards for payment. Day passes can only be bought by cash or card. Cards will be charged a 3% fee.

If you don’t have a sticker on your vehicle, you might have to show a picture ID to use the transfer station.
