Access Stickers ($50)* Single Day Pass ($15)** – Good for one business day only
These stickers allow access into the facility to take advantage of low-cost disposal needs as well as free recycling and free composting (food scraps). Both are available for purchase at the scale house at any time during regular business hours, Monday through Saturday.
No day pass or access sticker is required to drop off appliances, batteries, books, brush and leaves, bulbs, cardboard, electronics, hazardous waste, paint, scrap metal, and textiles. Disposal fees will still apply in some cases. None are required to purchase compost or topsoil bags, or bulk compost or topsoil.
Day passes cost $15, and are valid from the time of purchase until closing on that same day. To take full advantage, we recommend purchasing earlier in the day if multiple trips may be needed. A day pass must be purchased for recycling, compost drop-off, household trash, and construction waste if the resident doesn’t have a valid access sticker. Out-of-district contractors working in district towns may purchase a day pass to dispose of trash and construction debris.
Access stickers are $50, and are valid for one year beginning July 1st, through June 30th of each year. The following year’s stickers go on sale on May 1st. Stickers purchased any time between July 1st and April 30th are sold at full price, they are not prorated.
You may be asked to provide a picture ID if you enter the facility without a sticker on or in your vehicle.
Access Stickers are only available to residents, businesses, and institutions in the following communities:

- Marlboro
- Newfane
- Putney
- Readsboro
- Somerset
- Stratton
- Townshend
- Vernon
- Wardsboro

*Payment methods accepted are: Cash, checks & credit/debit cards. (Cards will be charged an additional 3% processing fee)
**Day passes cannot be paid by check.
