Our Own Brattlegrow Compost is available Spring through Fall!
Brattlegrow Compost has many uses. It is ideal for creating new lawns, filling and doing lawn repairs, and creating most gardens. It is a great soil amendment product and works great for fertilizing and/or top-dressing gardens, lawns, and athletic fields. Our compost has been used for erosion control and landfill & stormwater management. Our compost has been used at many area schools and community gardens.
The compost is made from carefully managed residential and commercial food scraps, leaves, wood chips, and grass clippings processed here at our composting facility at WSWMD.

WSWMD Compost Products
- 1/2 inch screened compost: $30/yard
- Top Soil Blend (1/3 loam, 2/3 compost): $40/yard
Please note: If purchasing directly from us, you must purchase a minimum of 10 cubic yards of compost, and a minimum of 1 yard of topsoil and arrange a pickup. All WSWMD purchases must be paid for in advance, but you may pick up in multiple trips and/or days.

Want to try it out for your home garden? We sell 30 lb. bags at the scale house for just $7! A bag of our compost will cover a 12 sq. ft. bed (raised or not) at 1″ thick.
We also have bags of topsoil available at the scale for $10 a bag! (orange bags)
