Milk Cartons & Aseptic Containers

| A-Z Disposal Guide

Regular gable-top milk cartons

Milk cartons should be thrown out in your regular trash. They can no longer be composted, as we cannot determine if the “wax-like” coating is indeed wax or a form of plastic.

Aseptic milk or soup containers

Milk or soup in aseptic containers (brick-shaped, like Parmalat brand milk, or soup broth) have several layers, usually with a foil layer inside, and are NOT recyclable or compostable at this time. Please dispose of your aseptic container in your household trash.
