No access sticker is required to dispose of pressurized tanks

Empty propane tanks and other gas cylinders are banned from Vermont landfills. For safety reasons, propane tanks should not be placed in the trash.

Empty propane tanks (30 lbs. or smaller) and/or other pressurized tanks such as oxygen and helium CANNOT be placed in the recycling drop-off containers or in your curbside recycling containers but are accepted during regular business hours. This also includes fire extinguishers.

Costs**:

1lb propane tanks= $2.50 each

2lbs to 20lbs propane tanks= $10.00 each

Helium tanks= $10.00 each

Insulation & spray foam tanks= $25.00 each – (if the tank is not empty, it must be brought to hazardous waste

Fire extinguishers = $15.00 each

**We will only take tanks 30 lbs or smaller.
