Food scraps, leaves, wood chips and grass clippings are brought to the WSWMD Compost Facility.
The compost is monitored and temperatures are taken regularly.
The temperatures are sufficiently high, and the material is held in place long enough to effectively kill pathogens.
The end result is a beautiful compost product!

It is used for gardens, lawns, repairs, erosion control, and landfill and stormwater management.
It is also an excellent top dressing/fertilizer for athletic fields and larger lawns.
We use our compost for our gardens at WSWMD.
We have had many compliments on our high-quality compost!
