DRAFT Minutes of August 17, 2022
Committee Members Present: Committee Chair-Dan Toomey, Putney; Michelle Cherrier, Dummerston; Jessica Pollack, Jamaica
Additional Board Members Present: None
Committee Members Absent: None
WSWMD Staff Present: Robert Spencer, Executive Director; Vicki Hayes, Finance & Office Manager; Anita Grant, Administrative & Operations Assistant/ District Clerk

Dan called the meeting to order at 10:04 AM
- Changes and/or additions to the Agenda: Vicki indicated that there hasn’t been a chair elected since the 2020 Policy & Personnel Meeting. Michelle asked Dan, with his blessing, to remain as chair of the committee. Bob also introduced and thanked Jessica Pollack for joining the P&P Committee, as she is the new BOS member representing Jamaica.
Michelle made a motion to re-elect Dan Toomey as the chair of the committee, Jessica seconded, and the motion was carried.
- Approval of Minutes of May 5, 2020:
Michelle made the motion to accept the minutes of May 5, 2020, as written, Jessica seconded, and the motion was carried.
- Review and approve Job Description for Yard Foreman: Dan explained the process of the P&P Committee to Jessica. The draft job description was reviewed, line by line and changes were made in appropriate sections. Job duties were given more clarification, and to be numbered. It was determined that the DRAFT job description would be sufficient for job posting, to expedite the hiring process. The description must contain modification dates at the end. It was determined that the final acceptance of the job description for the Yard Foreman would be added to the agenda for the September 2022 Board of Supervisor’s Meeting. (BOS)
- Executive Session (if needed): None
- Other Business: It was discussed that the Personnel & Policy Committee chair would now be elected annually at the May Board of Supervisor’s meeting, following the annual April reorganization meeting. It was also discussed that P&P meetings should be held annually.

Adjournment: Jessica made the motion to adjourn, Michelle seconded, and the meeting was adjourned at 10:56 AM.
