Sawdust

Sawdust is not recyclable. Sawdust can be composted, FREE of charge, in the Windham Solid Waste Management District’s organics composting program, (Please see Project C.O.W. for more information). For large loads please call the office at (802)257-0272.

Utensils (Plastic)

Plastic utensils are usually NOT recyclable. Please dispose of your plastic utensils in the household trash. If utensils are labeled “plant-based” or “compostable,” they may be placed in your curbside compost container only if they are BPI-certified and/or TÜV Austria certified. Not all compostable products are created equal. Examples of accepted certifications are shown below.
