Committee Members Present: Committee Chair-Merrill Mundell, Wilmington; Michelle Cherrier, Dummerston; Jim Damato, Readsboro; Sandra Rulewich, Vernon
Committee Members Absent: Patrick Moreland, Brattleboro; Elizabeth Spector, Wardsboro
WSWMD Staff Present: Robert Spencer, Executive Director, Vicki Hayes, Finance Manager & HR Administrator; Anita Grant, Office Manager & Operations Liaison/District Clerk
Merrill called the meeting to order at 6:03 PM
- Changes and/or Additions to the Agenda: None
- Approval of Minutes- August 2024:
Michelle made the motion to accept the minutes as written, Sandra seconded, and the motion carried with one abstention.
- FY 26 Revenue Projections:
Vicki presented her first draft of projections for FY 26 revenues, with an overall 6% projected increase. However, developments arose since she created her projections that included cardboard commodity prices falling, losing the Keene State organics, and the unknown solar RECs (Renewable Energy Credits) numbers affecting revenues, so Vicki asked for another month to rework the numbers. She felt that reworking the numbers along with prepping the expenses would give a much more realistic picture and said she would be ready to present both expenses and revenues to the Committee at the October meeting, and the committee agreed.

- Other Business:
A discussion ensued at the BOS meeting on 9/12/24 about changing the meeting time from 7 PM to 6 PM, and changing the start time of the Finance Committee to 5 PM. After some discussion at the Finance Committee Meeting, it was decided that Finance would meet at 5:30 PM, and the BOS Meetings would start at 6:30 PM rather than 7 PM.
