Freezers are banned from Vermont landfills. Freezers contain environmentally harmful refrigerants that must be removed prior to recycling. The doors or lid must be removed prior to recycling. Refrigerators
Refrigerators are banned from Vermont landfills. Refrigerators contain environmentally harmful refrigerants that must be removed prior to recycling. The Windham Solid Waste Management District accepts refrigerators during normal business hours. The doors must be removed prior to recycling. Weed Killer is a hazardous material and banned from Vermont landfills. All hazardous materials must be brought to our Hazardous Waste Depot.
Varnish
Varnish can be brought in for FREE and collected with our Paint Recycle program. Please see the scale house attendant for more information.
