Brattleboro Curbside Collection Program

The Town of Brattleboro provides weekly curbside pickup of compost: food scraps and non-recyclable paper products. Recycling is also picked up every week while trash is picked up every other week. If you recycle and compost, you should reduce your trash significantly.

Over 2,000 households participated in the voluntary pilot program diverting approximately 104,000 pounds of compostable materials per month from landfills. GREAT JOB BRATTLEBORO!

Curbside compost carts are available at the Brattleboro Municipal Center in the Finance Department, 802-251-8103.

Kitchen counter pails and backyard compost bins are available at the Windham Solid Waste Management District administration offices, 327 Old Ferry Road, during regular office hours Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.  If you are unable to visit our office during normal business hours, please call to arrange pickup, (802) 257-0272.
