Windham Solid Waste - Commercial Hazardous Waste
Hazardous Waste - Commercial Print E-mail

Commercial and Institutional Hazardous Waste is accepted only at the WSWMD Covenience Center during the Annual Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Collection. Otherwise, businesses and schools need to contact a private hazardous waste hauler to come directly to their site.

Any business and institution that generate less than 220 pounds of hazardous waste or 2.2 pounds of acutely hazardous waste, or 220 pounds of residue from cleanup of a spill of this waste, per month is eligible to take part in WSWMD's Annual HHW Day. A small fee for the waste is charged, but the cooperative nature of the collection saves on individual collection costs. An inventory of the waste needs to be sent to WSWMD two weeks prior to the collection date.
